Management - Managing People Through Change
Change is a fact of life – how we manage is often the difference between success and disappointment in attaining our goals. In the businesses community change can occur spontaneously in response to external forces or in a premeditated design – welcome or unwelcome.
Individuals affected by change approach the future with different styles – from exuberance to resistance. The management of change presents everyone with tremendous challenges and opportunities.
Effective leaders embrace these changes, taking into account the natural human response to change. They recognize the potential for growth and the opportunity for improvement both for the individual as well as the organization.
This interactive and participative workshop provides the tools to understand and recognize the dynamics of change and what can be done to become "change agents." Upon completion of this one-day workshop, participants should:
- Recognize the different types of change.
- Understand the different reactions to change and how to address them.
- Understand the "Change Cycle" and ways to help people go from "maintenance" to "growth."
- Learn the stages of the change process.
- Understand that management involvement is critical.
- Understand their role as manager in the process from beginning to end.
Each participant will receive a participant's binder, which will include discussion questions and activities, as well as a self-study workbook to be used as a reference tool in the future.
Through our team approach to learning, the customization we provide for you, individual exercises and small group activities, we provide a fun, motivating approach for your Managers and employees.
This program is presented in a full-day or a half-day format.
